    Awesome find!!!!

I actually am getting ready to PM the admins of this forum to see if they can make a black skin (until the AF app is done).

That would be nice considering I dont browse the net as often as I use to when I had my iphone... It also doesnt help I keep tinkering with the phone to get it the way I want. Its gonna be a minute till I can really figure out how long a full charge will last me.

That would be a tiny bit of battery saving, and I thought I read that RED is actually the color that uses the least amount of battery power, though it depends on the display.

With the SAMOLED that the Epic has, black doesn't use any power.

Oh cool, that's perfect then. I think I read that the Droid's favorite battery saving color was red.

I kept meaning to look into whether there was an Android version of Google Black. We've used it on our home PC's off and on for quite a while now. This is great news! :)

It's depressing. It's not worth it to me, unless the battery savings are noticeably big. Not looking for an argument...just my opinion.

Off topic thought: I use Dolphin HD and set User Agent to Desktop so I don't have to deal with neutered mobile sites.

i like it .. not because it only may help conserve my already amazing battery .. it just looks better ... few other sites in the user preferences i set it to b viewed in black as i do 85% my internet searches on the phone. this site dont have it tho

Yes, every little bit helps. I wish there was an app/browser add-in that would just invert all the colors on any page.

I was actually hoping for an option to change email and texts to a black bacground - and user-selectible text color.

I also change my browser client from android to desktop lol. But it will be a great day when someone makes an amoled specific app for browsing the web using black backgrounds to conserve power

Unless it's an active led type display how is going to save any power at all? isn't the backlighting on all the time and black is just a function of the screen blocking the light?

Blacks on Super AMOLED screens barely draws any power.
