Battery Tips for 2.1?

Loaded 2.1 on my phone last night and the battery seems to be draining quicker than on 1.5. I know the phone isn't awake 100% of the time and I'm also using Task Manager.

Anyone with a suggestion?

(Please don't tell me to use the phone less)

Give it a little time. The system seems to optimize itself after a few days. The same tricks that worked in 1.5 also work in 2.1 in terms of saving battery. You also might be playing with your new toy more than usual. It's only natural.

The only thing I could suggest is to make sure all syncing is less frequent... I noticed the Facebook and Twitter syncing really drained the battery for me, so I made them either manual, or to only sync when I open the app.

I set my phone back up like it was on 1.5 when I was getting 2 sometimes even 2.5-3 days.
However, on 2.1 the battery is draining pretty rabidly. I think I will only get about 24 hours max out of this charge, and that is when it will get to 0. I used to charge between 20-30% all the time.
But I do think it will settle in after a few days. It was the same way when the phone was brand new. With a whole new OS, Im thinking the same thing is happening.
Not too worried yet.

Just had a strange thing happen as I was charging my battery.

I was following another thread about the water sticker and wanted to check mine.

It was at the 81% charged mark when I shut the phone down to remove battery and check the sticker.

Back on and now it is at 100% for at least last 10 minutes.

Any thoughts on this? Have been on the v3 leak since it came out and have had pretty good battery life.

My battery is fantastic with 2.1. It even better than on 1.5. I did all the battery tricks I did on 1.5. I am beginning to wonder if my battery indicator is right.

Maybe you guys could go over the battery tips again? I went through everything I'd remembered doing with 1.5, but I may be missing things...

It should be better. It manages resources better than 1.5. It may take a few days to reach its full potential.
