I keep getting this weird message that automatically opens on my phone saying I have a battery virus? Its not in chrome and it opens as a different app that is unnamed. I am using CM 12.1 if it helps. I know this is not true but how do I get rid of it from popping up?

It's probably an ad for Cheetah Mobile or Qihoo 360, seems like their style.

Have a look at our sticky about unwanted push ads, etc, and what you might be able to do to fix it.

If you're using CyanogenMod, your phone is rooted, so you might have to re-flash it completely if the adware/malware has got into /system.

Check the permissions of any app you d/l before installing.
If it sounds a bit much,it is,do not install & move along.
Apps promising free this or that are the worst offenders,TANSTAAFL........... ;)

There is NO such thing as a Battery Virus, and the posts above cover that pretty good.
You clicked on an advertisement at the bottom of an app, and you downloaded the garbage warning before you saw the new app.

never, ever, click on any links. get all of your apps direct from the Play Store.

Thank you all for your helpful information. I was using clean master and found a blank app with no icon or info and deleted it. I am waiting to see if this was the culprit. If it does not work, I will follow the link. Thanks for all the feedback!

One thing to note, get rid of Clean Master if you value your personal information.
Anything made by that developer gleans personal info and sells it to China... do not use any apps made by that developer period.
