I have just purchased a samsung galaxy s2& I'm very pleased with the phone apart from the battery life. Every review I have read has said the battery life is very good but I'm struggling to get a days life out of it, any tips to extend battery life would be appreciated

    Welcome to the forums :)

A lot of people use an app called tasker to help set up "profiles" to save battery. It has a bit of a learning curve though. You can also use widgets such as the Android power control widget (long press on an empty spot on your screen choose widgets > powercontrol) or an app called Quick Profiles.

Also, to see what is eating the battery:

(from your phone's home screen) Menu > Settings > About Phone > Battery use

Usually the apps at the top should be something like:

    - Display/Screen
    - Cell Standby
    - WiFi
    - Phone idle
