Believe it when I see it. It took ages for Skype to be released on Android, I hope iPlayer is a lot faster!

Runs really well, great colours etc. If only I had my headphones here at work I know what I would be doing the rest of the day

Up and running great on the Nexus One.

Requires Android 2.2 or 2.3 and Adobe Flash Player 10.1 over wifi.

I believe it is initially for UK residents/TV license payers but with the possibility that it may be introduced to the US on a subscription basis later in the year.

    "Outcasts" looks good! :D

My first post after lurking around for ages and it's to "moan"...Soz.. :(

It is slow and stutterry on my HTC desire...and no option to download that I can see.
I might have to stick to myPlayer for now..
    But it's a start at least! :)

Can't download with myplayer anymore even with the old version so it's about on par, obviously allot better than the "updated" version.

I can't seem to get it on my HTC Wildfire (I got the Froyo update yesterday) - but it it not showing up on my handset Android Market and the web based Android Market is saying phone not compatible - yet I have the updated Froyo. So am disappointed, as I was v. excited about finally getting Froyo and then iplayer!!

Have you downloaded and installed Adobe Flash Player 10.2, free from the Market?

Indeed no download all round these days, a right pain...
    Glad I didn't rush into updtaing myPlayer!:p

The Iplayer worked quite well on my home Wifi so even less reason to whinge. I have to stick to medium quality though, High quality not quite smooth enough..

  12. Everyone is saying they are glad they kept myplayer. Look at the BBC blog and various other places, Android UK News etc , there are angry people there too.

The BBC have made a mess of this.

I tried downloading 10.1 - but doesn't show in Android Market when I access via my HTC Wildfire. Checked on Adobe site and apparently not compatible with hardware (it is not a software issue - as phone now has Froyo).

So no Flash 10.1 no iPlayer - boo hoo:(

Ok for older devices that cant use flash and you want to run BBC iplayer... just download the skyfire browser. then using skyfire just search for the bbc iplayer web page and enjoy.... I use this method on my flytouch 2 with android 2.1 ... It works great...

Guess you're not a UK resident/TV license payer being on Verizon. :D
