any way of listening to this?
A few days after I got my G1 a friend had a new Samsung Omnia (windows mobile) and he was showing off a great application. He could search for radio content anywhere nationwide (USA) with a built in app (that was standard) and he said he found another app that had a few more stations in the the window's mobile app list.
There are a few apps that search for streams on Android but none of them seem to have as full featured a list as he had. I found a few sports/ESPN ones for example (my personal interest.)
His was so impactful as we were watching American Football and he pulled up broadcasts from both teams playing and the feeds were from various radio stations.
It was live radio, timely, and a powerful search tool streaming to his phone.
I have yet to find something as good.
1) leadapps has published "UKRadio" android app, which can play most of the UK Radio stations.
2) BBC Radio stations in UK can also be played using "UKRadio" android app.
for more info: Download | ukradio
The iPlayer app can play radio (except 5live).
beebPlayer - it's an unofficial iPlayer app. It's in the Android Market and it's free.
I can't see beebplayer in the market ;(
beebplayer was removed from the market a few days ago. No real explanation except that 2.2 would be making it redundant. Shame.
UKradio has also been withdrawn from the market. I went for unlimited download so I could listen to radio 6 but apparently I have to go abroad to do so
Doesn't TuneIn play Radio One?
Don't really listen to the station, but I've pulled in BBC Radio 4 and a few other ones with no problem.
