Ok so i'm pretty sure I know what I'm doing but i'm fairly new to this and I just want to make sure I'm not going to screw anything up.

As of now I'm running deodexed rooted gingerbread but I'm on the first leak I believe (.573) with gingercomb juice theme. I want to get .588 so I need to sbf back to stock froyo and then install the newest leak correct? I'm looking to do this so I can start flashing ROMs because from my understanding most roms are being created for .588 and its probably best to get on to the official leak anyways.

    Questions

    1. Whats the proper way to SBF back to froyo?
    2. Is the latest GB leak rooted?

    thanks a ton guys

Got a question. On the link you provided JrzDroid, it says in first warning

"*WARNING*You will lose everything on your phone by following the process. This wipes it all people."

Is this any different than doing a factory reset and wipe? Or by installing GB by the way listed at that link wipe more than the standard factory reset and wipe? Just curious, trying to figure out what else you can loose.

Finally, is the way listed at the above link a better or newer way to install the leaked rooted version of GB say over the 3 patch deal from P3? On that site it says if you are coming from Froyo you can install the GB rooted leak just like you do a rom. Just trying to see the best way. Getting ready to make the plunge this week.

*Note* - If you didn’t jump the gun and flash the non-rooted version and are still running something like say, Liberty ROM, all you have to do is flash the .zip file below just as you would any other ROM.
    Download: dxgbrooted.zip
