Hey all. I'm looking to buy a new phone and given androids recent popularity I've been leaning heavily towards an incredible, nexus one, or maybe the evo. Specs wise these three seem to be close to the top of what you can get for android and I was wondering what the prevailing wisdom is on the absolute best phone/network setup for android.

I'm willing to wait a month (or two at the most) if a manufacturer has something ready to launch thats going to match the iphone 4 in specs. The resolution for the new iphone seems insanely good... but I want something I can develop for and buying an overpriced mac AND having to pay a 100 dollar a year developer fee is a deal breaker for me. So... any thoughts?

    Hey :)

This is a question that comes up quite a lot. The answer is pretty simple... there IS no best phone... it's purely subjective. Just go for what suits you best.

You're question is kinda like asking "what the best colour?" or "Who's the sexiest female?"

All Android phones are good, especially those with a snapdragon 1ghz processor... but they're all great and perfectly functional phones.

I think the SE Xperia X10 is the best because it has the best hardware and software can be upgraded. Others would say the latest version of android is more important than hardware, which imo is ridiculous, but it's down to the individual :)
