    This is my opinion:
    a. Malwarebytes
    b. None. Do not use these because they cause more troubles than they solve.
    c. I just use the stock so I have no opinion on this.
    d. None. Do not use these because they are snake oil. Reduce screen brightness and you will save on battery.
    e. No opinion. Just do not use RAM cleaners because they do more harm than good.

  3. I'd say none to all.
Use only the Play store and check app permissions before you install them, common sense and vigilance are your best protection.
Actually common sense will go a long way in general with phone management, also getting away from the PC-type mindset that makes you think you need these things on your Android device because you use them on the PC. Remember it's not at all like Windows.
Do some reading here on the forums, there's lots of useful threads like the one linked above. It shouldn't take long before you get it.

^^^ Agree with Fox Mulder completely. You don't need any of that stuff and if you do use them the phone will actually slow down. Here's why:

My rules for smooth, fast, trouble-free operation was never very long and has gotten shorter as Android has improved and matured. Here's what I do - and more importantly, what I don't do:

I do nothing to cache files.
I don't use a cleaner, RAM manager/optimizer, battery saver - none of that type of app.
    I don't use antivirus.
    I rarely manually close apps.
I do pay attention to properly setting up the device.
I do disable apps I never use.
I'm careful about what I install.
I relax and use my phone.

Well, that's about it. To summarize:
    I'm careful.
    I use my phone.
    Oh, and I do backups.
