Best Buy called, and they're opening early!

I have an appointment for 7:00AM . If anybody was confused about what the appointment actually meant (I certainly was), all it means (at least in my case) is that if we come in at that time, we get to skip any line that might exist. So I'll have my Evo at 7:00AM on the dot .

June 4th is a Friday, though . Also, I have class at 8:30AM, so this allows me to not miss class (which is important, since it'll only be the second day, and it's a 5-hour long intensive course...)!

Still haven't got a call from mine. Last I talked to them, they said that they'd probably be opening at 8 (usually 10am). Same time as the Sprint store says they're opening.

Just got a call from my best buy in Long Beach, ca. They are opening at 0900 and I have the first appointment.

Well that's my local BB. They had too many pre-orders so i went to Fullerton on Imperial. I tried switching my Pre-order. No go

I did get the one in Fullerton to match the RS $20 credit. Orange wouldn't even though i am like their number 1 customer lol

They called and said I could come whenever I wanted to. I asked when they opened. He said seven. I said okay, seven it is. He said I and one other person were confirmed for this time slot. I think they are doing two per half hour.

I can't think of a better way to start my morning. Of course, I will have to stop by dunkin doughnuts for the coffee on the way!!!

I'm in Brooklyn as well, and haven't received a call, myself. What Best Buy did you go to? I first tried the BB Mobile in Union Square, but their systems were down, so I had to go preorder at the one on 23rd and 6th.

Yup, they called me, to reschedule my appointment an hour and a half earlier. Looks like I don't have to take half the day off on friday... LOL!

Raleigh, NC Best Buy, called because I had the first appt at 10:00 AM, to tell me they are opening at 8:00. Asked if I wanted that slot, duh!

Of course I already have one Evo from Google I/O, still fighting going on in the family over who gets the one on Friday.

BBYM Employee here - We are NOT allowed to open to the general public until our advertised time (usually 10AM at this time of year.) However a store CAN set up appointments for people who preordered to pick their device up before the store officially opens. This will be different for every store and not everyone will be able to have employees working at that time.

So no, the stores wont be opening early, but you can still get your Evo before stores open.

I havent got a call or anything from mine, I called them about a week ago and the same person set up my pre order told me they are not doing appointments because I am guaranteed a phone. So many questions will have to be answered if I cant stroll in to get my phone and then stroll out.

EDIT: They left me a voicemail last night, Im first on the list will call back when they open to get the 8am slot
