Best Buy will price match....BUT!

I have to get the EVO off contract and I pre-ordered from BB. They confirmed that it will be $600.00 from them but will price match RS/Sprint stores if I bring in something that says the EVO will be $450.00 from said local store. There is my problem....finding something saying that the EVO is $450.00 at RS and/or Sprint stores.

Cash is kinda tight and I cannot pull out of my pre-order with BB(they said no...you keep the gift card) and go to RS/Sprint. Any help or ideas how I can make this work?

Wait until they list the off contract price? There still is awhile until launch, so there will most likely be something official by then. Heck and who knows maybe BB will list it as $450 by then.

The bestbuy in La Brea California said I could return the gift card within 30 days of purchase if I decide not to purchase EVO.

Also there is a law stating if the value of gift card is less than $10, they have to return whatever the residual value in cash. (most store manager doesnt even know this) You might wanna google it... see this law applies to your state.

I gotta steal a sign from Radio Shack or Sprint to get the price match??? :(

Guess I'll just pre-order from Radio Shack or Sprint and use the gift card for accessories. Better to be down $50.00 than $150.00

Never got that e-mail.....even though I singed up to receive them. Like reallynotnick said, I'm sure more ads will come out with the off-contract price listed.

Best buy always charges more for phones off contract. This is what im doing and i did it with the palm pre so i know it works.

also it comes out to a total of 400 instead of 450.

When the phone comes out open a new line. and pay 199.99 for the EVO and get a new phone number well call it (111) 222-2222. Then swap the EVO to your exsistening line well call it (111) 111-1111. and your old phone new line (111) 222-2222. Then two days later call sprint and cancel the line you just opened that has your old phone on it. Sprint will charge 200 bucks. so its a total of 400 bucks and you have yoru new evo on your old number.
