Which phone cases are best for drop screen protection? Which have you had experience with and dropping?

I just purchased a new g power 2021 4gb 64gb 140$ from best buys black friday sale.
I dont want it to get damaged.

I went ahead and ordered a motorola brand rubber case which is suppose to have the front edge raised as well as camera but not sure if hard plastic is better.
Are some of these simply phone cases for grip style and not drop protection or screen protection?

i have this one and like it. built in screen protector is a bonus. havent dropped it yet ;)

Hey nice i was looking at that one too but wasnt too sure. Does it have a belt clip that fits in the way or is a tight compact case and has the built in screen protector? Is it flimsy or pretty solid structure think itll take a few drops no damage and is waterproof? Do you find yourself removing it from the case or case fits perfect and never needs removed?

Im very interested in one like yours the motorola one i have doesnt have a lip around the top edge could slide out of the case landing on the screen if dropped. Has a slight edge that bows out on the camera side just not much for screen protection.

DO YOU HAVE PHOTOS OF YOURS IN THE CASE UP CLOSE?

Hey does it have camera protection 1.5-2mm and does the case slip around the front edges of the phone and have a 1-2mm bump to keep it from landing on the screen as well as falling out of the case. This motorola one doesnt have the edges around the front and could fall out of the case when dropped and landing on the screen.

i seriously think the spigen or otterbox would have been a better choice.I went with the motorola brand thinking their stuff was up to par and the front isnt encased to keep it from landing on the screen if dropped.

So whatre we looking at the spigen, otterbox or waterproof case any one of you had photos of yours upclose? I have some of the motorola you can see what im talking about.

Heres pictures of of the motorola g power 2021 case you can see the front edge isnt encompassed around the phone so it doesnt offer front face drop protection and phone could slide out easily landing on the screen.

If anyone of you had photos of the waterproof one from your link and spigen, otterbox.

Here in the amazon photos shows a front edge that wraps around the front face of the phone clearly in my pics it doesnt.

it claims to be waterproof, and inspecting it, seems like it would be. very solid case. only complaint is the screen protector is kinda flimsy. not sure how it would sustain a direct hit without the screen cracking. but ive only dropped my old phone a few times in 5 years.

Does yours have a hard plastic casing around front and back edges of the phone that would suffer the impact? The rear side is a clear flimsy plastic as well that goes over the camera as well but doesnt stick out so its possibly for it to land directly on the lenses or is there some bumper protection to keep it from landing directly on the camera? Does the rubber or plastic outside layer stick out further on the backsides of the lenses so the phone wont land on the lenses if dropped.

It looks like on the backwide in your photos it has a rubber or plastic bumper that sticks out passed the lenses incase it is dropped theres no way to crack the camera lenses?

Thanks did you see in my photos where there the motorola brand doesnt fit around the edge to keep phone from falling out of the case if fell face down? In the amazon link it shoes it wraps around the phone with a 1.5mm rubber protector around the corners but once it arrives doesnt have that just a square edge seems like the phone could easily slip out cracking the screen.

Im thinking maybe an otterbox or spigen if they wrap around the front edges. Best buy has a clear hard plastic saharra case that seems like it would protect the phone from damage.

I have to ask, how often do you drop your phone? Because I've got a friend, who seemed to be very accident prone with an iPhone 11, like he was dropping it every week or so, and then he dropped it from his scooter and ran over it with the back wheel...that that killed it.

I have another friend who managed to EOL his Xiaomi by accidental dropping it down a squat toilet. So for him water resistance was a consideration when purchasing a replacement phone and case.

Ah well i used a flip phone till 2014 then got my first android alcatel 5" phone. I was using a zte quest 5 a 5" phone just last month and years before. The problem is the new phone is 6.5"x3" wide i seeing it being dropped randomly when attempting to carry it to the car as its not pocket friendly as the smaller 5" zte android phones.

I dropped the quest 5 twice once at the riverwalk san antonio a 8 mile walk and was taking video photos and about a month ago dropped the quest 5 cracking the screen. I thought maybe the screen was plastic or something as it felt a durable hard material turns out its hard glass.

So after spending 120$ on a phone my first expensive purchase as i only used 40$ t mobile off the shelf phones from walmart usually a small alcatel pixi 4 4.5" display phone that was pocket friendly up to 2018. The zte quest 5 small 5" phone i used the last few years.

This g power 2021 motorola is huge 6.5"x3" so i see it being dropped as it wont really fit in the pocket.

What case we thinking the motorola you can see on amazon shows a rubber edge wrapped around but i ordered it and it doesnt wrap around the front incase its dropped on its face. Looking for one that has front edge protection and nice design.

I posted above why do you have a case recommendation that has the protective front and rear edges protection.

I had ordered this case tho it isnt waterproof as the guys above is. I have yet to use it was 10$ and can be returned to amazon in exchange for the waterproof case. It has the pop on front screen protector and a hard rear shell not flimsy clear as the above photos.
Does anyone think this case will work well? Or should i return it in favor of the waterproof above case, otterbox elite, spigen case?

Its one of the only ones with built in snap on front screen protector i seen amazon reviews of it not saving the phone but seems a solid structure.

Hey, I totally get it; protecting your new phone is a top priority. I just got a new phone myself, so I know the feeling. IMO, a hard plastic case with a raised edge around the front and camera is a good option for drop protection. However, you might also want to check out https://caseface.ie; they have a wide variety of designs, some of which are specifically designed for drop protection. But don't forget to also look for grip-style cases, as they can help you prevent dropping your phone. Good luck with your search!
