I'm loving eBay Top-ups. I am on the $35 plan, but by paying $.575 on a dollar, it's only costing me $20 a month.

This is the last one I've personally bought...and from that same seller. The funds were there within about 12 hours.

Virgin Mobile $120 Top Up 2 $60 Refill 3 $40 Card Pin Reload Service | eBay

If you search this phrase on eBay

    "virgin mobile top up"

You will find lots of hits...and some are cheaper than others. There's one guy with the claim of 10 minutes...but a guarantee of 6 hours or less for delivery. His prices are very good as is his feedback.

Virgin Mobile $40 $60 Prepaid Top Up Refill Reload Cell Phone Card Fast Delivery | eBay

I'd suggest looking around and picking the right one for you. Even the sellers with low feedback tend to follow through with the offer. I think only one person has had an issue, and it was a situation where two $40 cards were supposed to be added, but only 1 got added. So he wasn't ripped off scam style (where nothing was ever added)...but I'm not sure if there was any resolution either. I myself had success with that same seller...YMMV.

Since you couldn't access your account history, you couldn't verify whether the money was automatically debited from your account and applied to your bill without seeing the money, right?

I've been using Calling Mart - Wireless Refill Cards for years, i like it cuz you get points for purchasing cards and you can use them to take off future purchases. I like it cuz theres no tax.

I was skeptical myself but I've now bought 3 cards (from a different seller though) and have had no problems. I plan on buying all my future top ups in this way...I'm still floored at the price and savings! :D

I to was floored. I was happy paying $45 as that was about a $50 savings over what I was paying Sprint . Now that I pay less than $30 for the $45 plan, I too am floored :D

Sorry for the slow response, things have kept me busy, and I hadn't been back on here until now.

I would know if the money had been applied to my bill, because I get a text whenever my bill has been paid, or money from my account applied towards it. I also get a text whenever money is added to my account. So I would have received two texts; one letting me know about the increase in my account balance, and one letting me know that my monthly bill had been paid.

The eBay top-up deals have vanished for now at least. I hope they come back soon. I have been saving an average of 35-45%.

I noticed the drought today as well. I'll check back in a fee days, but I was really hoping to get another $60 code for $35 like I did last month.

At the family dollar store I work at, virgin mobile cards are not taxed. Could be different in other stores. They are the only ones we sell with no tax. It's worth looking into.

At Target the top up cards are not taxed. And sometimes are discounted.

Anyone have any luck finding discounted top ups yet? I'm getting desperate, it looks like I might have to go back to paying full price.

FYI to everyone - It seems that Virgin Mobile topups are no longer available from various online retailers. They all appear to either be "discontinued or out of stock". I used to buy top ups from Walmart.com but I've now tried twice (even though they say that the electronic cards are in stock) and both times Walmart cancels the order.

According to Callingmart's Facebook page (Callingmart no longer is selling VM topups either), they state that "it appears that Sprint has decided to stop allowing all distributors from reselling Virgin and Boost at this time"

Do any of you have any other ideas/suggestions where to get topups online (i.e. no tax or fees)? I've done ebay before and while the transaction was successful, the whole thing made me uneasy. Plus, the deals on ebay are not nearly as inticing as they once were. I guess Sprint/VM are trying to get everyone to pay on their website with a credit card/autopay.

I am in California and I buy all my top-ups at Target. I have yet to be charged any tax or fees on them, and in fact they are discounted about 5% on a very regular basis.

Edited to add the fact that I buy the top-up cards in person at Target. Not online.
