CM7 is not entertaining me as much with 1.7...so my question is, what is the best one out there right now?

And from going to Cm7 to whatever Rom I chose, what is the best procedure?

Well my SS in the lets see your TB screens thread are while I was on black but I use SPB shell so my launcher looks nothing like what you would get stock. I would also recommend you flash IMO's .8 along with the rom ;)

there aren't any posted on DroidTh3ory's website, but it looks basically like stock AOSP gingerbread. if there is anything you want to see in particular, i will gladly take a shot for you. let me know!

Just to add: Theory's store also has .apk themes you can install and a few flashable themes that may work but I don't think anyone has tried them out on black.

It's like asking what's the best car right now?

These questions are impossible to answer because they're all based on opinion.

I thought the same thing thats why I posted first and stayed on top of it

;) Wouldn't want you or scotty coming in here and saying senseAOSP, even if they are almost the same IMO, much less McLabia with Synergy:D or someone who is on a different Sense rom, they just don't get it AOSP it is the way to be :p

Edit: Err...Worm you are prolly on CM7 now that I think of it, and scotty is prolly in recovery just for fun

Hey I'll say it, if you're bored give sense 3.0 a run. I've been running BAMF forever and I absolutely love it. For a sense ROM it's nice and quick and that sense 3.0 lockscreen is actually really really awesome. I suggest checking it out, if not you can always do the ol restore.

Are you running the new build?

  14. Thats

    Thats That guy is This

If you want AOSP: ShiftAOSP or BlackAOSP. Sense: Sensetheory.

To sum it up: Go with any of DroidTheory's ROM's.

I am a BAMF fan, but I am actually downloading ShiftS3ns3 right now, and am probably going to flash that tonight and see what I think. IMO BAMFforever is going to be a definite daily driver for me. I set it all up perfectly and nandroided that already. But I am still curious on trying DT newest Sense ROM, as well as the new build of Synergy (Virus' RoM)

Black has ADW stock, once you get LPP installed you should be able to use titanium or a similar app to remove ADW if you like, I did once I installed SPB

On the newest build with Imo 3.7.0 kernal...Its pretty solid. I'm pushing 14 hours right now with 41% left. I text all day, facebook, and music from 2-11 in the kitchen at work. I didn't like the kernal it came with. 10 hours = dead tbolt

I did have one weird issue tonight though. While streaming music to my car, phone switched to landscape and wouldn't change back. Screen locked and left in landscape. Did a reset and can't replicate the problem again.

Hmm thats weird. I am running the stock kernel that came with synergy and my battery life is pretty solid. It took a few days to get broken in but now im getting 15 hours with 35% left...and thats with moderate use

Gingeritis3D has the best battery life of ANY rom I've tried AOSP or Sense and runs buttery smooth with the mysterious Ziggy kernel so I rate it as the best overall rom and I am not the greatest fan of Sense.

NonS3ns3 is my favorite rom that NFL mobile and my verizon work perfectly on. Its as close to AOSP you can get and keep the good aspects of Sense (mail, trace keyboard in particular). Battery life no where near as good as Gingeritis

As for AOSP roms after I throw on ADWex Launcher and Drods kernel like I do on ALL of them there is not enough difference between Liquid, CM7 and SHIFTAO5P to even matter. Renaming cyanogenmod settings to your rom name, changing icons and throwing spare parts features into settings does not equal different. They perform and benchmark the same (at this point with the right kernel they all have data, wifi and gps working well) Supposedly there are some distinguishing features in the yet to be released Liquid AOSP but that remains to be seen/released to the general public.
