Root Best Rom(s) for gaming and emulators

What is the best rom for performance when using an emulator or a game that uses a lot of graphics and processing power. I am currently on unlocked potential and when i run mupen64, it seems to lag a lot and when i use kernel tuner to overclock the gpu, it never sticks and goes back to the default setting.

I have a thread here that discusses emulators, controllers for the HTC Evo V

http://androidforums.com/htc-evo-v-4g/646450-emulators-controllers-htc-evo-v.html

As for N64, I have found that the n64oid runs well on my HTC Evo V using the Harmonia rom. There is occasional minor slow down but it is nothing game breaking.

I have found that Robert Broglia's emulators also run smoothly on my phone.

Fpse (psone) runs well after a little tweaking.

The problem I am having with my current HTC sense based rom (Harmonia) is that the HTC bluetooth stack limits the usefulness of the icontrolpad. I am currently look for solutions to this issue. The controller works for Roberts Broglia's emulators and n64oid but that's about it.

The only emulators i'm worried about are the n64 ones for my phone. I use my tablet for other ones i just use the Nintendo emulators like gbcoid and the gba emulator on my phone while i'm on the bus in the morning or in study hall, because i can't use something that big incase the principal or someone walks in i could get in trouble.

I used both mupen and n64oid and n64oid works way better. Sometimes there is no lag whatsoever depending on cpu settings. Harmonia, unlocked potential, and midnight should all work well. It really isn't the rom that matters but the cpu settings and the emulator. You may want to try a new kernel too. Emulating is perfect on this phone but I really need a controller since the buttons on the emulators suck. ;)

alright what kernel would you recommend because if i can avoid having to download all of my apps again when i change roms, then i could focus more on the gaming and not the swapping roms hassle.

also another minor question. are there any good nintendo ds emulators out there for android? I have all of the consoles and games that i am using on emulators i just like it on my phone and tablet better because of the bigger screen and the integrated action replay and other modding things that are built into the emulators. And less stuff to carry

There is one on xda called butter toast and another called mac kernel. There is also one on these forums called jmz kernel which can over clock pretty high. There is also anthrax but if you're running unlocked potential the kernel on that should be working fine. I would take jmz kernel for gaming since you need the power.
