Best Skype type app for iPad/Android?

Anyone care to suggest the best skype type app, that also works on an iPhone/iPad?

I have a Thunderbolt, my wife has the iPad. We do have Skype on both devices, and while it does work, with video, it isn't the best video....

Suggestions?

Well Fring is similar to skype and has a lot of features. It is also compatible with android and apple devices.
