Just rooted my device, which tethering app is everyone using? I'm trying to install PDANET but it's having issues.

Had WiFi Tether but couldn't make it work either.

Definitely try Barnacle Wifi. I was using Android Wifi Tether before, but Barnacle Wifi Tether is sooo much easier. I keep hearing people say it doesn't work, but it works flawlessly for me

Looks like wifi tether needs more dev for galaxy. Barnacle worked only once for me. Pdanet free dont like https. Maybe wait for froyo and use my old bj2 until then.

I believe barnacle was just updated so we don't need to tweak any settings on the PC side anymore. Speeds are decent (although it seemed to have been slightly faster on wifi android - however, that continually crashes for me now).

Neither Barnacle or WifiTether provide an infrastructure-mode access point, which a lot of laptops and other devices need to tether. The SGS Mobile AP app, along with the custom kernel provide a real mobile hotspot w/ WPA, and it works great. Flashing a custom kernel via Odin isn't hard at all, just follow the XDA thread.

If so that would be great.
