I am about to retire my near mint condition Droid Incredible, as I await the arrive of my new Rezound.
I want to keep the Incredible as a back up for my wife and me, but I'm thinking it can still be useful even if it is not connected to VZW's network. For instance, keeping in the livingroom for looking up things (like IMBD) while watching TV. This would save some wear and tear on my primary phone.
So, once I activate my Rezound, can I continue to download and update apps on the retired device? Can I still get email on the gmail app via wifi? Etc etc...
