What is the best format and quality of video to play on the desire.

Fancy taking a few films with me when next on hols.

If the need converting first can you suggest a good conversation utility for Windows.

    TIA

straight out of the box the desire plays mp4 files, m4v format, but you can get player apps for realplayer files, .mov files and now most .avi and mpeg formats including divx and xvid.

but i read somewhere that the processor in the phone has mp4 optimisation built in which helps mp4 movies play back smoothly.

get a pc program like handbreak, videora or quickmedia converter to convert other formats to mp4 etc.

I have just bought a desire and am trying to use E.M. Total Video Converter. I was just wondering was is the optimum settings to use for the desire, eg bitrates, resolution, format, etc.

    Cheers

I just d/l rockplayer myself and find it a excellent player but does anybody know if u can remove the logo from the corner? I have the standard free version non activated, does activating it give the option to remove? I know its not a major thing but it does distract me from videos.

    Thanks
