I am looking for a widget similar to the Wifi, GPS, etc. controls, except it allows you to toggle or adjust the volume levels of media, ringer, etc.

Audiomanager is a good app with a few widgets to choose from. However, I have been using AudioGuru lately because if you want you can set it to switch volume profiles by time or location automatically. You should try both and see which you like.

    Goodluck

I use Audio Manager and love it. If you save a profile, you can go back in and edit the profile to set it on a specific day/time...not location though. Just an FYI in case you weren't aware of this.

I like the AudioGuru simple's interface & was the only 1 that allowed me to have an individual 'media volume slider' on screen (sorta - it still brings u back into the overall volume settings).
I was looking for a media slider for listening to streaming music @ work & quickly adjusting the volume.

    I use two differant apps.

"Volume Control" allows you to set three profiles for system, media, ringer, notification and alarm. Have to manually choose the profile you want.

"Timeriffic" allows you to set up profiles as well, but can be scheduled by day and times. Also, includes turning on/off wifi, data and bluetooth.
