Hook your Inc up to the PC via USB....select mount...navigate to your drives on your PC and find the drive (should be F or G depending on your computer). Drag and drop file to the folders.

I just did this last night. Connect via USB to your Mac. On your phone, you need to check the box for Mount Drives (or something like that). You will see TWO drives on your desktop, one is internal phone storage (8 GB) and one is your SD Card. You want to use your SD card.

I opened this, created two new Folders (Music and Pictures), and then copied music folders and pictures to those respective folders.

Unmount drives, disconnect phone from computer, and you are good to go. All my music apps on the phone saw the music in my new music folder and picture apps found all my pictures in my picture folder.

I have not tried this yet either and was wondering how to do it. If I drag an entire folder to the phone, will it show up on the phone in a folder? Is there anything else I need to know before I start dragging music to the phone? Is there anywhere specific I need to put it, or will the music program automatically recognize that there is music somewhere on the phone?

Thanks in advance. Sorry for my dumb questions, but I am new to smartphones and I am the equivalent of Chevy Chase's impression of Gerald Ford when it comes to technology.

Do you use a music management application, such as Windows Media Player, WinAmp, Media Monkey, etc. Any one of the music management applications should also be able to help get music to your phone. I use Windows Media Player with my Droid Incredible and works without any problems.

You're kidding, right? You transfer music from your own computer to DI via the internet!! Why not just USB?

it's not really over the internet, it's just over wifi. it's just about as quick of a data transfer and less time finding my cable and plugging things in. if i'm just transferring an album or two it's super quick and really convenient.

OK, before I screw something up, let me know if I am doing this correctly. I have the phone hooked up to the computer via USB and it is seeing it as a disk drive. There are a bunch of folders on there. Can I just drag album folders into the phone itself? Or do I need to drag them into the media folder? Does it matter?

    Thanks in advance.

I created a folder called MP3. Right click, new folder. Then I dragged or right clicked the album and Copied. Then Pasted into my new MP3 folder. After unmounting the phone the phone says "preparing SD". That is it. They are now on the phone.

I'm playing with Doubletwist, seems to work just fine so far, and is free. I also see, but haven't tried, iSyncr which is a couple of $.

Tunesync works very well... It will even sync playlists via wifi... it won't sync from the device back to your computer is the only downfall
