Hi, new to here and picked a tablet up last year whilst in USA.

However, I cannot get sound on any of my movies - I understand it doesnt support the codecs for avi or xvid - so how is it possible to watch them on my tablet?

Can you recommend a software converter or app to watch them through, please?

    Many thanks.

Have you tried another player? I'm a big fan of VLC and it always seems to play anything I throw at it.

I have one solution to a problem like this - a properly-worded google search.

    android xvid sound

    or

    android avi sound

I agree about VLC. My wife hates the way they moved the controls a few years ago, but it's one of the first apps I install on a new computer.

Between MX Player Pro, VLC, and BS Player....all my videos play fine. My library consists of MKV, AVI, MP4's.
