What new year, now as Google released Google Play Store v6.1.12 released they now enforce tp install Google Play Services even removing it if you have root permenantly, now i built this app you can install msnually or move it into /system/app to prevent google installing Google Play Services ever again.

The ap is somewhat stable, however the reason i placed it here because testers are needed for android 4.x.x SDK 19+ Once it clears beta i'll requests the mods to move it to the None beta and alpha testing forums

The app is small to install so enjoy please place any issues in this thread ONLY!

OK.. So this was made for & I'd need a JB OS? I didn't know that and it wasn't stated in the OP. That also would mean I'd need to downgrade some stuff.. Can I do that easily?
As for FOTAkill.apk, I know it's not "necessary" but I use it because the nag drives me nutz, the update will just close off any chance of Root.. Stagefright doesn't scare me, Lol.

I have a "newer" issue I think may be derived from the newer Google Play Store (6.0.F-U!). It's constantly automatically updating Chrome browser even with "do not auto update" set. The only issue I had with the Chrome updates is that
    1. No matter how many times I bust it back to factory it reupdates A LOT! That is a big issue with eating my data. Every time I wake up or reboot, it's updated or trying to!
    2. since v40+, it keeps asking for a password resubmission and telling me that my current password is totally invalid. I realize that you have no control over Google but was hoping you had some useful info on how to deal with it. Ty- in advance.

    Go into the play store
    press the hamburger (3 lines)
    Press settings
Change auto update apps to never

    Problem solved

I had/have done that. Many times. [emoji28] Also unchecked the auto update box for the apps themselves. That's what's tripping me out! HOW ARE THEY DOING it?! [emoji33] And.. It's only Chrome. Doesn't matter which version it is - it'll update after Google play updates. I found my workaround by downgrading Play store to v4.8 (which usually updates to v6.0.1 anyways no matter what I do) then flashing the DarkHorse Play store v5.1.1 which has the store's (itself) auto update disabled. Then restored Chrome v35. The downside is that a lot of apps now state my phone is incompatible with most of the apps, including apps/games already installed and been playing for a while now.. Is there any easy way to sidestep the ridiculousness? Data isn't free for everyone.. Your blocker is certainly a nice start, Sir!
