On most Android ROMs that I've seen, Data Roaming has been turned off by default. On BlackBerry it was always on my default so I always had to check it before I went to Canadia.

    We call it America Junior.

Went to PEI for more than 2 weeks. We have the Canada/North American plan. We called and confirm to Verizon before leaving that we are going to Canada and wanting to make sure that there would not be any surprises. Our Canada plan is covered.

When we got back, there was $1,200.00 drawn from our account and when we called, it was $890 something was charged with roaming data usage. Then the following months bill had another $500.00 of data usage.

Now we know to get the International data plan when we plan another trip to Canada.
