Root Beware: Rageagainstthecage

    This is probably old news to you folks, and I'm not meaning to cast aspersions on anyone.

    Tonight while doing a routine virus scan on my desktop, my virus program found a trojan in rageagainstthecage.bin. I'd downloaded this and used in this method http://androidforums.com/droid-all-...oid-without-rsd-lite-up-including-frg83d.html of rooting.

    I don't know where I downloaded it from, but obviously I got one that had been tampered with.

    Running a virus scanner on the phone showed that it was allegedly uninfected.

    So just something to be aware of...

    Yeah, of course an AV would find it. It's an exploit :)

    ROM's will sometimes pop up in AV scans too. As stated above, they're exploits.
