Root BH_MAN R12 battery life

i have been searching through and reading the forums to find a solution, but i am still at a loss.

i flashed my BHII to EUGENE373_PDA_FINAL Galaxy 1.6 (R12)
and i didnt charge my battery to full before flashing. .
i dont know how much that has an affect on battery life post-flash.
but now my battery lasts less than 1 day with moderate use.

what i found in my readings is that the latest kernel will help with battery life, but is the lastest kernal included with R12?

also. i read about batterystats.bin, which isnt mentioned in BH_MANs Galaxy 1.6 thread, but it is mentioned in the take5 thread.
should i push it anyway?

or should i just reflash on a full charge?
reflashing would be no big deal. but i hope to fix battery life without flashing ( if that would even help it )

I just use battery calibrator from the market (a gold battery with a red cross). It'll delete your batterystats.bin. Drain your battery until its dead. Charge while its off. Once its full, your batterystats.bin will regenerate, and you'l have a calibrated battery.

No need to reflash.

I am having a similar issue; my phone thinks the battery's dead but reports the voltage around ~3.68v and shuts down.
