If I've blindly overlooked this somewhere, please forgive me...

Is it seriously impossible to set up an event in the stock Captivate calendar that repeats every x number of weeks / months? I find that pretty hard to imagine.

    As examples:
    • Our recycling is picked up every-other week. A reminder would be helpful.
    • Our church has a quarterly meeting (4th Sunday of every third month - January, April, July and October).

The repeat options I'm seeing are:
    • One-time event
    • Daily
    • Every weekday (Mon-Fri)
    • Weekly (e.g. every Wednesday)
    • Monthly (day - e.g. every 4th Wed.)
    • Monthly (date - e.g. every 28th)
    • Yearly

I don't see any way to do it with the stock calender, gmail calendar (online) or Jorte calendar. I looked at my iphone calendar, it is the same recurring setup as the others.
I've been using the Pocket Informant calendar on WM and iPhone, it will allow it. They are currently working (in beta now) on a calendar for android.

You can't do this with the stock calendar. But you can definitely do it with the online Google Calendar.

Yep - that was my temporary fix - created the event in Google Calendar and it synced over to my Captivate.

But still - isn't that pretty basic functionality no matter what platform you're using?

Saw this post on the Google help site. Bi-weekly recurring events? - Calendar Help
Hope it helps. It is the only way I can now see my biweekly paydays, including the month of October correctly showing 3 Paydays.

Blackberry had this functionality 8 years ago. The best way to use an android is to avoid google all together.
