Okay my issue is this, I have an AT&T Fusion 3 manufactured by HUAWEI (model # Y536A1) installed with Andriod 4.4.3 and all of a sudden the phone shut off. After trying to start the phone it goes to the Black screen with the silver Andriod letter. It will sit on this screen till it kills the battery. I've tried to clean the cash thru the Andriod fix start up but nothing. AT&T rep said they think it is updating or something but like I said it runs till it kills the battery. Now this is not my phone it is my mother-in-laws. Trying to be the good and intelligent son-in-law and fix it but I'm not in the all knowing of Andriod. Also once this starts the ONLY way to shut off the phone is to pull the battery. No buttons work nor does the touch screen.

So I'm looking for ANY info that can help, trying to avoid restorying to factory default due to the fact all of her contacts, and photos are on the phone.

Thanks for any help.

Bg260,

This is an AT&T Go phone. Nothing special has been done to it, just opened the box, turned it on and used. The person who's phone this is had Facebook, FB messenger, Pinterest, and maybe a game or 2 on it. They even less savvy so with smarts smart phones then I am. So as for rooted I'm 100% it was not rooted.

I have tried wiping the cache but nothing happened really. Just right back to that screen once it gets to that part of booting up. If I hold the power button it restarts but can't power it off with out pulling the battery.

This is a link to the official firmware. Looks like there are two types for the model # you provided. Both Canadian, Rogers or MTS.

I found this on their website. Huawei Mobile Doctor. I hope you know your way around a computer.
The focus now should be on trying to save the device. Not the data.

This is the website but I downloaded the package and scanned it for Malware.
