help! calls are going directly to voicemail (settings show it should ring directly) and then there's a blinking triangle. what's the triangle and why are my calls not ringing? thanks.

I don't know without looking at the manual, but if you have access to do that, I would look it up real quick and find out what that triangle means. If you can't find anything there, and no one here has a good answer, you might want to call up support or head to your local store, depending on what's easier.

Can you still make outgoing calls, and check your voicemail?

Sorry about the double post, but I think I just found the answer. Your phone is probably not getting a signal. If you pull down your status bar, does the phone say TravelTalk? I just looked at mine, and it's suddenly roaming, which is what TravelTalk means, for a MetroPCS phone at least.

It did say Travel Talk. It's a huge bummer because I lost a $200.00 work gig today since the phone was tweeking. Also, when it's on TT/roaming, I can't call out. When I tried to call my voicemail (I have Metro), I got error messages from Verizon. Thanks!

No worries. Sucks about losing a paycheck. :(

FYI, if you frequently end up in null-coverage areas, drop a few bucks into a Metro roaming account, which will cover you when you go out of area, assuming that area is covered by TravelTalk.

today is the 2nd day my phone dropped into Travel Talk mode and the fone is at my house. i've only had it for less than a month. might need to cancel metro and go back to sprint- coverage is really bad here. huge bummer.

Have you turned the phone off and back on since the first time it happened? When mine lost signal yesterday, in an area I usually get signal, I had to reboot it to reestablish the signal. Hopefully it's just an anomoly and not the norm for you.

turning it on/off didn't work. only taking the battery out cleared the triangle. thanks.

    do you have roaming enable?

That was going to be my question as well.
If you have enabled roaming and you are in your Home METROPCS area you will cause your phone to not be able to take or make calls.
You need to have it set to HOME. DO NOT have it set to automatic as this will cause the phone to drop into another carrierers towers causing your isssues.
Metro's tech support and their FAQ's state this very thing.
Make sure you phone is set to HOME and see if that does not clear things up.

Settings > Wireless & Networks > Mobile Networks > System Select > Home only
