Root Blkkangblue final theme for Fission 2.1 and running on 2.2.1 currently

I'm calling it final for Fission 2.1 and just booted it up fine on 2.2.1.

First a warning from jaroch on 2.2.1 usage;

Expect a long reboot as the name/carrier color changes cause that.


Big thanks to justintoxicated for a lot of bug work/help and some photo shop.

A huge thanks to bouchigo for the help with the new/sweet addition of the carrier change and color in the bar writing/clock....looks awesome!

Shout out to dhoffman1421 for being the first to toss it on 2.2.1 and reporting back.

Props to colchiro for the link for fold animation.

(did not load these last two animated ones, please report any issues with them or anything else....should be fine).

Install;
drop on sd card then:
go into recovery, mounts, mount system, back out to install from zip, chose zip, chose your zip and yes install, go to reboot when done. (may not be exact steps).

do one more simple reboot if you think its fun....lol....wouldnt hurt anyway.

faber78, I am pesently running BlackGlass (only theme I have ever tried).I really like your fission 2.1. If I run your theme will I need to reconfigure my LauncherPro set up or will it remain the same?

Also can I install your theme using Metamorph? Do I need to clear data and cache first?

should stay the same, with the option to go into your app drawer and change shortcuts to the themed ones if you want.

Now the theme is blkkangblue and it is made for the Fission 2.1 and now running on 2.2.1 ROM.

What ROM are you running? If its not Fission, you're on your own installing this.

metamorph i have no experience with, maybe someone else can answer.

as far as being that you're running stock rom; i wouldnt do it. that doesnt mean someone else wouldn't though....lol....

my guess is you will get a lot of force closes. meaning applications will shut themselves down.

unless you're running fission rom, i wouldnt do it. id look for a theme for the stock rom.

kangerade blue may be available with a little research for the stock rom.
it is extremely close to this (a lot of his work and credit to the creator of that theme are in this one).

i would google kangerade blue and find a version for your exact rom, you should like that if you like this one....

oh and there are no dumb questions....just ones we wished we had asked....lol....

its thanks to mostly the other people involved that helped out and stuff we borrowed from through out all our thread and links.

you'll like fission, but follow the install instructions exactly.
and remember if you have problems with fission, they dont like people complaining about bugs (errors) if they install a theme not promoted by them (like this one). lol....

Copy a bunch of files to a folder.... you can't make an easier app. I couldn't find one that stated it did that tho.

Essentially, by applying a theme built for the previous versions, you're reverting a lot of the changes / benefits that come with the new version of the ROM to begin with. So, in essence you're downgrading them back to Fission 2.1 in a lot of respects by condoning doing this.

That, or otherwise these people may as well stay back on Fission 2.1 with the theme applied. At least then, they know all the underlying files play nicely with all the android apk's. There's already another port of Kangerade Blue for Fission 2.2.1 (not yet 2.2.2) as well: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9258748&postcount=4.

be happy too. which theme were you wanting it under?
dark blue or light blue time/writing or the ones with different animation types as well.

or i could also apply that mod to any other theme as well.

(my personal favorite is the lighter blue with the flip/fly in animation....lighter blue has better visibility against the black bar and still looks nice)

possible bug report;
today i tried to make a phone call and couldnt hear anything. rebooted and all was fine.
make sure to do a reboot after install.

not sure if it was a fluke or what.

you guys that downloaded be sure and report and issues so i can fix them or pull the link.
