How can i block texts (SMS) from particular sender and or spam. Im running on 5.1.1 I used to be able to do this, I can find apps that claim to but either put in another box or you have to change your default sms sender.
I dont have a blacklist option. Id like to let the person know they are blocked with a auto reply any ideas

    Hi

You could maybe use Macrodroid (the free app on Playstore) to automatically send a custom reply to all texts from a particular number(s). Other apps such as Tasker can do this but are more complicated to set up.

Also set the sms app to send those smss to the sms spam folder (most stock sms apps can do this for a particular senders number). If your app does not do this, "truemessenger" can.

What device/sms app are you using?

    Hi again

My wife has that phone - great device. You could look at changing to Textra as your default messaging app -the best out there I believe , and provides blacklisting.

if you install the SMS app Textra, it has an option in it to Blacklist a number you don't want to see.

I do it a lot to get rid of advertisements.

    * Textra SMS - Android Apps on Google Play

You do a Long Press on the incoming message header, and Blacklist is one of the options there.
maybe your msg app can do that also?
