Bloody Incident Happened in Beijing Apple Store (video!) M.I.C. Gadget
This. Is. Sad. Here
That Apple Store should be fired and go to court and then jail. Scalpers shouldn't be there anyways so it's funny that they got all pissy.
Scalpers are a fact of life - products in high demand but not easily available elsewhere brings top dollar.
Apple must stop iPad 2 scalpers NOW | Tech Gear News - Betanews
Agree tho - hope they find this guy - and I'll bet they will.
Odd that no one seems to have uploaded cell phone pics of the incident yet.
How will Apple respond? Well, if there's any truth to this one...
1. Why on earth did an Apple store employee have a bat available to beat people with?
2. What kind of door costs $46,000?
1. The unhinged kind.
2. The $46,000 kind?
I have a hard time wrapping my head around a GLASS door that costs about half as much as a basic house here in the midwest. Guess I know why Apple hikes their prices so heavily. Sheesh!
I'm presuming that's a total damage cost - cleanup, broken equipment, alarms, whatever. We only saw the door.
Because guns are illegal in Chinese cities, unlike the US. Only the police and military are allowed to carry firearms.
Maybe the total cost of damage to everything, not just the door.
It was a little bit tongue in cheek. I would be shocked to learn that any Apple store employee in the states is packing heat (or a bat) at work.
...............and as the world turns in peril and anarchy, Steve Jobs sits at his mighty throne and smiles upon his bewildered flock.
Check to see if he used to work for the US Post Office.
It had an Apple logo on it, naturally it would cost more.
Haha. And it's made of aluminosilicate glass, which Apple thought wouldn't break.
Looks like I'm going to be in Beijing next week. Probably go and admire the new $46,000 door, maybe scalp some white iPhone 4s and iPad 2s.
All that, to get a phone ... anyone would think apple lead some kind of religious cult to get that kind of fanaticism. Pretty pathetic really.
Welcome to China.
