Help Blueant T1 bluetooth voice recognition doesn't work with Moto Droid?

I have a blueant T1 bluetooth and can't seem to get the caller name announce to work. Any suggestions? The text to voice app works fine and announces who is sending the text, but for some reason, it just gives me the phone number when someone calls, which does me no good since I can't remember all my contacts' phone numbers.

I have the original droid with android 2.2, and just double checked to make sure there are no available firmware updates for the Blueant.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
