I do a fair amount of traveling and have always used my smartphone as a music player paired with a Bluetooth headset. I recently found that the airplane mode for the Droid disconnects not only the wireless connection, but also the Bluetooth connections as well! For the life of me I can't figure out how to turn on the Bluetooth while I'm in flight without switching out of airplane mode. I'd rather not do that for obvious reasons: 1) I don't want the airplane to crash because of my Droid and 2) searching for a nonexistent signal is a big drain on battery life (and after 15 minutes of searching in vain, it'll switch back to airplane mode anyway).
Any way to resolve this would be much appreciated. Is there an app for that? =)
