bluetooth keyboard

is the microsoft bluetooth keyboard 5000 compatible with samsung tablet 10.1? I don't seem to be able to pay for the 2 devices. I receive feedback from the tablet giving me the code to enter from the keyboard, but nothing happens when I enter it. presumably because the keyboard has not been ppaired!

Stupid question, but is the keyboard powered? (IOW, if it's rechargeable, did you charge it for at least 24 hours? If not, did you install fresh batteries?)

(I assume that there's no text input box on the tab, and you're supposed to enter the code on the keyboard, not on the tab.)
