My new note connects fine with my vw head unit and controls also work fine but it is not showing any metadata at all. Was working fine with my HTC one. Any ideas anyone?

For me, it seems to really vary by app, phone and head unit. My LG G2 would have trouble displaying BeatsMusic info in one of my cars, but the Note 4 does so perfectly. Really strange!

Are you using the stock player or something else like Poweramp? If it's a third party music player, I believe you need to ensure that you do NOT disable the Android music control lock screen otherwise when the phone locks, it will not send any metadata. It seems to be something in KitKat that does that. If you are using the stock player, then sorry I don't know. LOL
