have you installed it onto the sd card? widgets do not work if installed on the sd card so go into your "manage apps" menu and check if it says "move to phone" if it does click it to move it back to the internal memory.
That was it - sure i'd tried that too - takes a while to appear back on the list after moving - but it had been moved to sd - really short of space on phone
