Help bluetooth problem: "device does not have the required services"

i use a macbook pro and have been cheerfully browsing Nokia phones on it (and its predecessors) over bluetooth for years. But although my new unbranded Desire is recognised by the Mac as a bluetooth device, any attempt to browse it results in an error message about the absence of the necessary 'services'.

Anyone got any advice?

In your Desire in the bluetooth options there is a bit for enabling FTP. I had to enable it before I could browse the phones insides on Windows. Hope it helps.

Thanks for this solution. I don't use Desire atm (HTC ChaCha instead) but Enabling FTP worked!

(I know this thread is old but forum rules had nothing about bumping old topics so figured this would be fine.)
