I have a 2011 Subaru Forester with the "hands free" option. Unfortuneately it won't recognize my phone. The phone sees the Subaru but is rejected when I try to pair up. Any suggestions?

    Thanks,
    Ed

You need to change the code on the car - I used 0000. Then it connected after I entered 0000 on my phone. I have a 2011 Impreza. After that first connection, it automatically connects.

How did you change the code?

Thanks, changing to 0000 from the default 1234 on my 2012 Subaru Legacy worked. Got my audio apps working. Play with the phone part tomorrow. This is the only place I came across the 0000 passkey suggestion.

Hi guys don't know if anyone can help.

I don't have the LG Optimus, I have the Motorola Motoluxe. Also have 2011 Impreza though.

My phone sees the car, but when I select Pair it just comes up with a message along the lines of:

"Cannot pair, the passkey is incorrect"

Thing is, it didn't even ask me for a passkey on my phone!

My wife's old Desire is fine. Exactly the same process, but when I press Pair it asks me the passkey, which is 0000. And it pairs.

I've tried it a number of times on my new Motorola and it just won't ask me for the passkey, just comes straight up with the error.

    Any ideas?

Have you tried calling the manufacturer of the phone?

I noticed the Motolux has practically nobody in that forum. Maybe if you asked that question in a Motorola forum that's the closest to your phone
