Help Bluetooth won't stream

I just installed a JVC KDR-900 head unit in my car. It handles phone calls no problem, but when it tries to stream music, I go to play it on the head unit, it plays on the phone. It's like I'm working the phone with the head unit. I can stream music from my ipod via bluetooth just fine so I know it's something to do with the phone setup.

Any ideas? HTC EVO 4G

Try going to Bluetooth settings in your phone. Then press and hold on your head unit, then select options and make sure it is set for both calls and music audio

Ok, just for kicks and grins, I went into the options, unclicked use for music audio and re-clicked it and viola, I can now stream music via bluetooth. Only one last thing now, the head unit is suposed to notify me whenever I receive a text message by playing a ringtone from the head unit. This is the only thing I cannot get to work. It will play my notification tone over the head unit from the phone IF I'm currently streaming the bluetooth, but if I'm not, it won't play over the head unit at all...
