What, the nexus 5 doesn't count now that it can run on Sprint's LTE network?

Boost has a system with the DEC #'s where they are all preprogrammed to recognize the DEC to a list in the system. In other words, it won't recognize the Nexus 5.

That blows, seriously! I like the plans boost has, and to cough it up for some sweet phones like the Moto X and Nexus 5, that's just......sighs! smh

Sprint has final say on which phones can be brought to their MVNO providers. In general they don't allow you to BYOD the newest phones.

ADDED: Ting, another Sprint MVNO, can activate a Nexus 5 bought from Google.

I think that is kind of the point, either deal with the official boost phones, usually quite a bit behind sprints phones, or get the sprint left overs.

If i buy a sprint phone can I just use it at boost? Thinking about an iPhone.. & they have the same one at boost except the one my friend is selling me, is 5 times cheaper.
Could I have boost activate it on their network?

Boost Mobile has a list of some Sprint phones that you can BYOD:

EDIT: They recently added the Sprint iPhone 5s to the list.

IMHO the best deal currently is the LG G2 for $150 from Best Buy. You can't beat it.

I looking at the LG G2 as it looks like it does or will be doing Lollipop ? as opposed to my current phone my Samsung Galaxy S G3 doing Kitkat .

How does it compare for screens using an LCD vs the OLED screen on the G3? I see higher specs listed in most areas.

How are other specs as far as in general the performance not really a gamer but if it has better then that would be plus as well.

Bought the sprint G2 and it came with KitKat and was updated to Lollipop.

The G2 is an insane value for the money, my only bag is the G2 processor is 32bit.

Buy it and you will get 2 years out of it; I am a fan of 2-year-old flagship phones as being great values.

I was looking quickly at this phone and like can do lollipop but I want a phone which has SD card available as I my new phone I want 128gb storage to hold all my content I want to carry on my new phone.
I also would have preferred a removable battery also but that would not be a deal breaker on that option alone if I was going to buy the phone.

ATM I think I of getting an on sale Galaxy S4 or S5 is in the cards for me with lollipop would be a good upgrade or maybe something thats not yet released .

Wow, I'm surprised how quickly they're allowing BYOD for those two. I'd guess they had many customers wanting an iPhone 6 and for some reason they couldn't sell them directly.

Hi there, is it a specific model? I want to get this phone, but I keep seeing the name Sprint and don't know where to start.

I am glad Boost has not made any must buy and upgrade phones! I will keep my fixed battery drain G3 problem and save my coin for a new Lollipop or maybe Marshmallow tablet as my phone is good enough for my needs running Kitkat.

Does anyone know of another way to get one of these phones swapped to your boost acct? The local boost stores in my area don't do this.

They all do this. Have them call Boost directly, ask for a supervisor. If you don't hold your ground, then they push you over.

You could call Boost yourself, ask them to re-sku your phone.
