It was on Shins ROM and I didn't think to just test the kernel. Let me flash another ROM and add in the 1.8 kernel, I'll test throughout the day and let you know what I find.
Turning on wifi from a power widget hangs and will not turn on. I rebooted and turned on from settings menu and worked perfect. Tried it 3 times. Setting menu works perfect.
I don't know about you guys but none of the governors work for me and its just always at max value... It doesn't bother me as I have set up a variety of profiles as a work around but I'm wondering if I'm the only one... I'm running oc 1.2 but i had the same issue with 1.0...

I use setcpu(voltage control is the same but cant work around without profiles option), running noobvi modded for public(had same issue when i was running it unmodded)...
That's really weird. There shouldn't be any difference between pmi and boost as far as the kernel is concerned. Do you have set on boot selected? Because with 1.2 there is a script that sets the governor at boot. Try one of the betas in post 3
No issues with 1.8 gHz kernel and Icon 2.0 I have tested the stock power widget, settings menu, and notification toggles. Just for giggles I left WiFi turned on and took phone out of range to make sure 3g picked up when WiFi signal dropped out and vice versa. No issues at all. I'll keep playing with it but 8 hours use is a pretty good indicator that things work well in that department with this ROM anyway.
Any update on better bat life. I have a 4200 and im at less than 50% after 4 hours i dont think it should be dying that fast even with my internet or minecraft usage
Its all about proper settings and signal. With weak signal, the phone can tower hop and that causes the battery to drain quicker. Also running it at max and having the screen brightness at max
What settings are you using? I've been doing well using interactive and sio, but not that well. I keep mine set to 1.4 gHz, did have a profile for screen off but seemed to cause lag when screen came back on.

found the bug has nothing to do with the kernel... I apologize for wasting your time it was in fact due to the mods on my rom.... Very nice work and i love the flame splash...
