FYI. I originally flashed the ND8 bootloader with modern. I was curious so I decided to try the NDC modem. I'm actually getting better reception with NDC. I changed the prl too and that may have helped but I did notice an immediate improvement in radio reception after flashing the NDC modem.
As for JD's ND8 recovery flashable ND8 modem, it's good to go. I flashed it over the ND8 modem I was running and it ran fine. Please note that I am running a custom kernel too.
The comment below will explain why I mentioned that I'm running a custom kernel.
The Dev who posted the recovery flashable NDC modem states in his OP that a custom kernel is a must because it will not work with the stock ND8 kernel.
JD, this may be true for your ND8 modem being flashed over the NDC modem and bootloader. The only way to know for sure is to have someone with straight NDC give it a try. If they have issues with the modem then they should give it a try with a custom kernel.
Hopefully that's not the case but if it's true for the NDC modem and stock ND8 kernel not working together, it may be the same for your ND8 modem and the ND8 stock kernel.
Just a little something that I noticed while reading and wanted to mention.
