Boost mobile. New service activated without apn name. Pre paid service. Left the store, got home and tried to go online. Could not get online. Went through all the usual steps. Called customer service they couldn't help me. Called HTC and they didn't know what could be the problem. Took it back to store and the guy said he couldn't figure it out but I was out of the seven day return window so I was shit out of luck. He thought maybe it had something to do with the fact that the APN name wasn't highlighted in the settings and therefore couldn't be added.
