if ur in winblows 7, u go to start - control panel - system - then click device manager in top right of ur screen... make sure the device is plugged in and in ftm mode. In device manager u will see a unknown device with an exclamation point on it where usb controllers is. Right click that device, then click update driver software, then click browse my computer for driver software, then browse button on right, and go to the folder u unzipped the USB drivers for your device and select that folder and click OK. The browse for folder dialog box will disappear magically, then click the "include subfolders" checkbox so that it's enabled, should be enabled by default. then click next. it should install the drivers for u

No you dont need to be in FTM mode. Just need to reboot to bootloader.

Well if it is listed then your drivers are already installed and next you need to flash the recovery. See my little how to on the post http://androidforums.com/3641642-post65.html . Except use QuietStorm1785's recovery img.

So when your in cmd prompt and you run a command of say
"adb-windows.exe reboot bootloader" does your phone reboot?

no it doesnt but it is staying on which is new

Ok so Im pretty sure you didnt put the support files from post 1 at C:\Documents and Settings\thsxftmidgt did you? If you did I suggest putting them at like C:\adb or create a folder in the root of your c drive called anything you like. And to get there in command prompt you will have to type cd c:\adb or whatever folder you name it. then run the command.

actually i did but either way i moved them closer to c:\

Yes you can either "adb-windows.exe reboot recovery"
or do it the old fashoined way and shut down then power + vol up

it wont reboot into recovery mode
tried both ways

i reflashed the stock recovery
i notice that ftm mode and recovery mode do not function when the custome recovery is flashed

Yeah custom recovery replaces those.

This is tedious work, but considering i dont have a phone to do this with, i would like to thank everyone testing for me. altho, to make cyanogenmod for this phone, i would need the phone itself in order to get all the files from it...=(

i suspect its because the usb drivers fail to install....just noticed that (how observant am i lol)

Lmao I did all the steps and now I can't go into ftm nor the custom recovery mode we are talking about
but my phone boots just fine
I'm missing something!?

No your doing just fine. It just doesnt work yet. One more time custom recovery removes FTM mode.
