    Hey everyone,

Is there a way to further increase volume output past maximum? I tried the app Volume+ and nothing happened. I went into Settings > Sound > Music Effects > Volume+. Then, went into Volume+ and changed my headphone volume from 0 to +4. No noticable difference. I evwn toggled it on and off to try and depict a slight change, but still nothing. Does anyone have a solution to amplifying the headphone output? I'm unrooted, but looking to root in about a week being Verizon will never let 4.0.4 roll out. Thanks!

The 4.0.4 update (or at least the Liquidsmooth ROM) did increase the phone volume noticeably. I would actually suggest rooting if your planning on doing it anyway, since I'm pretty sure the 4.0.4 update is supposed to address that issue.

Did 4.0.4 increase the internal speaker, headphone speaker, or both? I'm primarily concerned with the headphone speaker, as I just bought a pair of good over the ear headphones and the volume output is disappointing. I've connected them to my computer and old iPod, and there was a noticeable difference. Looks like yet another reason to root!

It boosted volume all around so I'm assuming that it probably changed a setting that upped to level on the amplifier on the phone. It not an amazing amount, but its enough to make my Senheiser HD428's uncomfortably loud at full volume (then again, they aren't exactly headphones that are hard to drive).
