I've done a fair amount of searching for boot animations (maybe I need to brush up on my searching skills) but I can't seem to find a good collection of boot animations. If people would be so kind as to upload vids of there custom boots and maybe some links to download that would be super fantastic of you! :D

Lol! I still love my X...its an awesome phone...great call quality, faster than snot even when not overclocked, biggest and best screen (at least to me)...I'm not going anywhere (unless an X2 comes out soon--my son wants a smartphone and my line is the only one that's upgradable)...

Also, we know the machinations that went on with the Eris regarding root and 2.1...some things take a little time, eh? [good things will (eventually) come our way :D]

There is a phone coming out for VZW soon.. in the 4th quarter...The LG thunder from what one of my boss's says its one of the new Android Superphones. That what he said anyway... look awesome.. big screen thing very nice. I work at VZW by the way, i love knowing when the new phones come out.

Thanks...good to know that the next generation is starting to show-up...although I thought people were shying away from LG (i.e., I've seen folks diss the Ally a lot).

So as not to stray too far off-topic here :)p), I am wondering how much more power our phones need (i.e., for must-have things like boot animations <--- see what I did there?--kept things on-topic! :D).

I'm pretty happy with my battery life and performance. I'm guessing that future performance improvements will be needed for better, smoother video support but they can't crank things up too far or battery life will suffer (its a balancing act). I know I want a dual-core, 2GHz phone, but do I really need one? ;)

haha I know...Maybe LG is the one company who is going to be "open" unlike Moto and their bootloader fiasco. I can dream right :D

does anybody have the actual Stock X bootanimation. I've tried almost all of these. I love the android peeing on the apple, but I want the stock one. I couldn't find it on the link posted above
