Help boot-looping issue still

ever since i rooted the phone and installed leedroid 2.2b my phone has gone into a continuese boot loop when useing apps and stuff...
its happened whith tunein radio, rock player, gem miner and lots of other apps. i have gone back to the standard 2.2 froyo and also tried pinkie rom..
all with the same result. now it seems at times i cant even get the clockwork recovery up... and other times is stalls on the white backgroung with the htc logo... im finding more and more of the time this is when the phone is warm it goes into the boot-loop or freezes. if i leve it off for about 10 mins i can then get back into the clockwork mod recovery...
so im now thinking it may be an issue with either the batterie or the cpu getting warm quickly since it happens with other roms...
is there a setting that i can change to reduce the heat and see if that helps?
or has anyone else had this isue or thinks the prob might be the phone or battrie??
if so is there a rom for virgin so i can send it back for repair without them knowing it has been rootied???

and help would be gratefully recived as this is driveing me nutts now

You could underclock your CPU to.limit the maximum voltage your CPU uses, thus reducing heat through the CPU. You'd be best buying set CPU. But since you're rooted you should have bought this anyway
