    Boot Animations for HTC Desire!


    Look for boot changer by Andres schmois in the market.

    This app will let you change your bootanimation on the fly!, The paid version will let you install from sdcard, you get access to premium bootanimations, which i will be updating Very soon with brand new Bootanimation. Please see app for more details. Aslo open to idears for what you want to see in the way of bootanimations.

    Here are a few bootanimation i have made for our beloved HTC Desire's...

    Your phone has to be rooted if you want to change boot animation!

    **Also remember to rename the "bootanimations##.zip" etc to just "bootanimation.zip"**

    Instructions in Ubuntu 10.04 lts.

    I installed it as follows..

    1), Put your desire into recovery...

    3. Entering recovery in future
    5. Included with the root script is a script for entering recovery in the future. To use...
    7.     * Turn on the device with the volume button held down
    8.     * Navigate to the 'RECOVERY' option on the menu, using the volume buttons to move and the power button to select.
    9.     * In your terminal window, enter either 'recovery-windows.bat', './recovery-mac.sh' or './recovery-linux.sh' as appropriate.
    10.     * It is recommended that you do NOT use the 'USB mount' functionality in the recovery image!
    12. Obviously were are using ./recovery-linux.sh in this guide
    2), Then issue command

    1. # sudo ./adb-linux push bootanimation.zip /data/local
    Making sure bootanimations.zip is in the root of the adb folder on your pc.

    3), Now highlight the reboot phone option and select it, Reboot and enjoy!!

    1. You can install bootanimations from your phone with "Root explorer" in the android market.
    2. Just copy the bootanimation to your SDCard,
    4. then copy it to /data/local
    6. Then reboot! your done :)
