Since the update from 2.2 to 2.3.3 I cannot for the life of me get my phone to boot into bootloader. I know its port and volume down but it will NOT work I have tried and tried. I was going to root my evo. I do not like perm rooting. I used to use z4root but that application no longer works with the new update. Does anyone know a root app that will work with the htc evo for temp rooting? THANKS!:thinking::thinking:

    Welcome to the forums :)

HTC locked their bootloaders now, but they are looking to reverse that in the future. If you're looking for assistance, you might want to try the root subforum here: EVO 4G - All Things Root - Android Forums
